Awesome Weekend in Summerlin!
In Summerlin this weekend, there are a few interesting events that are worth checking out:
The Apple store is where it’s at this weekend, bringing you multiple free events: Music Lab: Remix Madonna, Design Lab: Drawing Treehouses Co-created with Foster + Partners, and an Art Lab for Kids: Make Your Own Emoji!
The best part is Apple provides all the devices needed to participate! So don't worry if you’re an avid Android user, you can still join in on the fun.
Remix Madonna
This ‘behind-the-making’ event is for Madonna’s song “Crave”. You’ll be able to take an inside look at her song, and see what her inspiration was.
It gets even better! You’ll also get a hands-on experience recreating her song and be able to put your own twist on the song through GarageBand on iPhone!

Make Your Own Emoji
This one is for sure going to catch the eye of kids of all ages.
You’ll learn how to design and create your very own emoji using the Procreate app.

Drawing Treehouses
This next event is something incredible that I’ve always wanted to do. I mean, what kid doesn't dream about building their own treehouse? Although, I think this is geared more towards grown-ups.
Design Lab will show you how to create a treehouse using architectural and design principles. The Apple Creatives will show you how to draw a treehouse using the Procreate app on iPad Pro.

The Las Vegas Farmers Market®
This is the event that I’m most excited about. The market has a startling amount of fresh fruits and veggies, all types of breads and cakes… I even saw honey sticks that I haven't seen since I was a kid!
There will also be handcrafted decorations and jewelry by the dozens. Plus, being right next to “The Lucky Climber” in the Pavillion, the area is very kid-friendly.
I can't wait to stock up on my favorite fruits and veggies and peruse all the beautiful artistry! Maybe I’ll see you there… oh yeah, you bring your dog, too!

Graphix Con
If your kid(s) are into graphic novels, we’ve found the perfect event for you!
Barnes and Noble is having an event called Graphix Con where you’ll be able to celebrate your favorite graphic novels and participate in activities like drawing and writing!
If you think you have a little author or artist in-the-making, this is one event you don't want to miss.
